They are selected on the basis of this knowledge, and have no vested interested in the nominated websites. A separate consulting panel of industry experts are involved in producing the shortlist of Finalist sites, from the thousands of nominations we receive via NORAuk.com.

Neil Morrison HR Director at Severn Trent plc, was until recently Group HR Director for Penguin Random House UK, the world’s largest general book publishing company. A member of the CIPD with 20 years experience in generalist and specialist HR roles, including time spent leading resourcing teams. Neil is also an experienced HR blogger and sector commentator.
Steve Othen is the Head of HR at the REC. Steve has held various roles, including Corporate Membership Manager, Organisational Change Manager, Head of Service Delivery and Acting Director of Member Delivery. Steve assumed his current position of Head of Strategic Projects in July 2013 and manages, among other projects, the Good Recruitment Campaign and has shared responsibility for internal HR.
Emma is Managing Director of The FIRM and Talent Director for the Talent Insight Group and has over 16 years resourcing experience encompassing in-house and agency recruitment as well as RPO. Her previous organisations include Unilever, BskyB and most recently Mars Chocolate UK where she was Head of Talent responsible for the development of a best in class strategic approach to Talent Acquisition and Management. She now leads the FIRM team in providing both tactical support and strategic insight for their members.
Joanne Lockwood is the founder and CEO of SEE Change Happen, an Equality Diversity & Inclusion Practice specialising in providing Transgender Awareness and support to organisations and businesses all over the UK. Joanne is the first openly transgender past National President of the 90-year-old ‘Men’s Club’, The Round Table. In 2016 she embarked on her personal rebrand, selling her successful IT services businesses that she had built up over 25 years and transitioned.
Steve Barnhurst is the Sales Director for our awards partner, Broadbean Technology, and has been a NORA judge for several years. He has Over 20 years experience working within the recruitment sector as a recruiter, Trainer, COO and more recently, a supplier to the industry.

Bill Boorman is the founder of #truMunity., facilitating unconferences globally, in and around Recruiting & HR. Recruiter Trainer. Key-Note Speaker. Formerly Director of Training with Primetime Recruitment, Bill has been at the forefront of the charge to shape Social Media Recruitment in the UK.
In advance of the judging stage, we have a Selection Panel of industry experts, who will assess all websites nominated by jobseekers, and produce our shortlist of Finalists. To ensure transparency in the awards process, this group are quite separate from our Judging Panel, but just as vital to the NORAs.
Louise Triance has a background in recruiting and the internet. She is founder and director of UKRecruiter.co.uk which, via its web site and newsletter, provides comprehensive and independent information to the recruitment industry. Louise has been involved with the NORAs since the beginning, and is the Vice-Chair of our Judging Panel.
Matt Alder is a strategic consultant focusing on all aspects of recruitment marketing, employer brand and recruitment technology. Over the last eighteen years Matt has driven value for numerous employers by helping them connect to the best talent and improve ROI. Matt is a long established blogger, an experienced keynote speaker and regular commentator on the future of work. He hosts the Recruiting Future podcast (www.rfpodcast.com.) and is co-author of the book “Exceptional Talent” which was published by Kogan Page in 2017.

The criteria to be used in judging will include:
1. Ease of use, design, layout & speed.
2. Volume of available vacancies.
3. Volume of claimed visitors, where applicable.
4. Available facilities for jobseekers. This will include the availability of mobile websites and applications, and integration with social media channels.
5. Prominence in targeted market.
Sites will be judged from the point of view of a jobseeker, and what benefits candidates best. Recruitment websites which are not mobile friendly on small screens, will not be considered.
