The Panel of Judges for the 2013 National Online Recruitment Awards has now been finalised. As usual they will, of course, have extensive experience of the current online recruitment sector. They are selected on the basis of this knowledge, and have no vested interested in the nominated websites. A separate consulting panel of industry experts are involved in producing the shortlist of Finalist sites, from the thousands of nominations we receive via NORAuk.com.

STEPHEN O’DONNELL
Founder of PC Evaluate, AlljobsUK.com, and the National Online Recruitment Awards. Stephen has been a professional recruiter for the last 24 years, and has owned and run successful recruitment companies since 1993. PC Evaluate provides personality profiling services to employers throughout the UK.
Stephen O’Donnell is Chairman of the Judging Panel.
LOUISE TRIANCE
Louise Triance has a background in recruiting and the internet. She is founder and director of UKRecruiter.co.uk which, via its web site and newsletter, provides comprehensive and independent information to the recruitment industry. Louise has been involved with the NORAs since the beginning, and is the Vice-Chair of our Judging Panel.
NEIL MORRISON
Neil Morrison is Group HR Director for the Random House Group, one of the largest general book publishing companies in the UK. A member of the CIPD with over 15 years experience in generalist and specialist HR roles, including time spent leading resourcing teams. Neil is also an experienced HR blogger and sector commentator.
ANN SWAIN
Ann Swain is the Chief Executive of The Association of Professional Staffing Companies. Ann has headed APSCo, and before that its predecessor, ATSCo, for the past 12 years; creating a well-respected trade association known for its energy, thought leadership, outstanding membership service offering and lobbying power.
KEVIN GREEN
Kevin Green has been the Chief Executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation since June 2008. The REC is the professional body for the UK’s 20 billion private recruitment and staffing industry.
STEVE BARNHURST
Before joining Broadbean at the beginning of 2013, Steve spent 15 years working in the recruitment industry. As a top billing consultant, focused on business development he trained new recruiters and sales professionals. Most recently he was COO for a well respected and entrepreneurial agency based in London.
BOB ANTHONY
Bob Anthony – Co-founder and editor, Ri5.Career: media sales, ad agencies, management and selection consultancy, general management, business writer. Career highlights include starting and building Media System Ltd, one of the most truly creative recruitment communications agencies ever in the UK. Started Ri5 to promote a belief that fair and open communication is at the heart of effective recruitment.

Siân Harrington has been the editor of the prestigious and definitive HR Magazine since 2006. In that time, Siân has won HR Journalist of the Year, 2010 Finalist for Editor of the Year, and HR Magazine was acclaimed HR Publication of the Year for 2010.
PETER GOLD
Peter Gold. With over 20 years recruitment experience and the last few years being heavily involved in using social media, Peter now advises employers on how to use social media for both internal and external talent management initiatives, as well as “more traditional” on-line recruitment activities ranging from attraction to measuring results
Shortlisting Panel
In advance of the judging stage, we have a Selection Panel of industry experts, who will assess all websites nominated by jobseekers, and produce our shortlist of Finalists. To ensure transparency in the awards process, this group are quite separate from our Judging Panel, but just as vital to the NORAs.
MATT ALDER
Matt Alder is the founder of strategic consultancy MetaShift and has spent the last twelve years working within the Internet space. He became involved in online recruitment eleven years ago, spending seven years as Head of Interactive Media with TMP Worldwide followed by four years as Head of Digital at Penna Barkers.
BILL BOORMAN
Bill Boorman is the co – founder of #TruEvents. Unconferences globally in and around Recruiting & HR.Recruiter Trainer. Key-Note Speaker. Formerly Director of Training with Primetime Recruitment, Bill has been at the forefront of the charge to shape Social Media Recruitment in the UK.
KATHARINE ROBINSON
Katharine Robinson (aka @TheSourceress on Twitter) uses the Internet to track down tough to find talent. Formerly with Capgemini Consulting as Sourcing Recruitment Manager, Katharine is now an extremely successful freelance advisor on online recruitment strategies. Katherine is a frequent public speaker on the social web, and how it augments the real, social and professional worlds.

The criteria to be used in judging will include:
1. Ease of use, design, layout & speed.
2. Volume of available vacancies.
3. Volume of claimed visitors, where applicable.
4. Available facilities for jobseekers. This will include the availability of mobile websites and applications, and integration with social media channels.
5. Prominence in targeted market.
Sites will be judged from the point of view of a jobseeker, and what benefits candidates best.
