24 Years of the NORAs

At NORAs HQ, we are very proud of being supreme nerds, especially when it comes to online recruitment, and the technologies which now power almost every job application made.
This was not the case when we held our first NORAs in 2001, when a large number of employers and recruitment agencies still didn’t even have a website, never mind all the social media channels.which were yet to come. We like to think that the NORAs has charted the history of our industry – and will continue to do so.

Our first set of Finalists were ahead of the game, and leading the way; not just by being early, but by being excellent before everyone else. At that time there were very few examples of what good, or even excellence looked like, so they were literally creating the world of online recruitment that we know today. These pioneers deserve immense credit for that.
Our first Winners, Jobsite, Jobserve, Reed, Carphone Warehouse, The Sunday Times, and Careers Portal have continued to thrive ever since.

Every Finalist in the past 24 years has automatically become a member of the NORA Academy, and it’s quite an exclusive club. Whether they have been shortlisted only once, or multiple times, with a few winners trophies in the bag, each of these organisations have demonstrated excellence in online recruitment, and a real care for the experience of every jobseeker.
