The NORA judges are deep in conclave at the moment. By the end of the public nomination period, we had received 29,386 submissions for 426 separate recruitment websites. Our judges now have the onerous task of visiting every one of these sites, and assessing them from a candidate’s perspective, in order to reduce their number to only five Finalists in each award category. Given the very high number of nominations, there will be eight Finalists each for the Best Specialist Website and Best Small Recruitment Agency awards.
Each year we ask our judges to visit all websites as if they were a jobseeker, and assess them accordingly, also bearing in mind their considerable experience in human resources, traditional recruiting and the online recruitment sector.
Our Finalists for the 2014 National Online Recruitment Awards will be announced here on Monday 6th October. As an additional bonus, all Finalists this year, and from the last 14 years too, will automatically become members of the NORA Academy. This entitles them to vote for the very first NORA Academy Award. The criteria for this to recognise the Finalist website, judged by their peers, to be the very best example of online recruitment in the UK today.
Again breaking with tradition, we are also revealing below the full list of sites which have received nominations this year (excluding duplicates and those which don’t meet the criteria).
